This actually reminds me of an incident that happened with me around 4 yrs back. As part of the Indian arranged marriage culture, I was told about a guy who was supposed to come and meet me. He came and we met in my office canteen.
We spoke for sometime and I was sure in my head that probably he was the last guy I wanted to get married to.
While we talked, we generally discussed some common things – work, my company, the city I lived in.. and my thoughts on ‘marriage and arranged marriage’. I told him how I was not completely convinced with the idea of saying ‘yes’ to a guy just after a brief 15-30 mins meeting and he liked my confidence. He complimented me saying ‘wow.. I have not seen such an honest and confident girl in our community’.. and when it was time for him to leave, he asked me ‘so, what have you decided about me? I like you but what about you?’ :S
I told him exactly what I had mentioned to him few minutes back and pat he said, ‘but you must tell me your answer.. after all.. after every interview.. the interviewer gives some remarks to the candidate’!!!
